Luton and Dunstable Area Network Club - Plan Rationale
Part of the Consume Project: www.consume.net
The rationale behind the plan is:
The plan has a critical milestone: "Enough interest to proceed."
Unless we get there, we do not plan to continue.
We need to gain a densely populated membership to form
a cohesive network before it is worth investing in equipment
(which is expensive) and installing software (which is time consuming).
It is cheap and easy to recruit interested persons.
The plan covers everything we do so it also forms the index
to all the web pages.
The approach may take longer than rushing out and buying equipment
immediately every new person shows interest. But this allows time
for (a) hardware prices to fall (b) the software to stabilise
(c) Legal aspects to be clarified
(d) us to learn from others (in Consume) mistakes.
