L&D Community Network Newsletter - 12 December 02 In the Newsletter this Month: * New Members * Last Meeting * Next Meeting * New Local Videos * New Radio/Audio programmes ---oooo--- New Members ----------- In the last month 4 new (speculative) members have joined. Two of these live on hills with good views over parts of Luton - which should give good radio cover for many other members. See revised map on website. Last Meeting ------------ The meeting was held at Bury Park Community Resource Centre. Three people attended. There was discussion about organisational matters and funding. As usual there was discussion about the basics of wireless networking and its capabilities. A demo of VideoCD/MPEG1 video transmission was given with near TV quality. Next Meeting ------------ This will be after Christmas. Please suggest venue, date and subjects for discussion. New Local Videos --------------- More local videos have been produced and will be put on the network. Now in VideoCD/MPEG1 format (1.2Mbps) as well as RealVideo (220Kbps).
