There are two issues here:

(1) To use IP4 or IP6
It seems fairly definite that the choice is in favour of IP6.
This has advantage that the software will also be able to handle IP4 if need be. It has the disadvantage that new software is required and is bloated to require 32Mb RAM.

(2) How to allocate IP Addresses
Consume are operating a temporary manual allocation system. It is necessary to request one (or more) address(es) before attemping to use the system.
A more permanent, automatic allocation system is being considered.

Consume have provisionally allocated us IP v4 numbers in the range 10.2.0.0/16 (65536 ip addresses)
We will allocate these to members upon request.
